Good attendance is vital all year round with lots of benefits linked to learning and social interactivity.  At this time of year, even though the children will not be doing any formal learning on the last day of term, it is an important day for them to reflect with friends as they say goodbye to one part of their education and look forward to another. Even one day's good attendance for a class can help them to achieve goals that the class have set themselves.
